Tony advises the world´s most successful firms on their learning and development needs. After qualifying as a solicitor, he was a lecturer at The College of Law in London (now the University of Law) before joining one of the firms which merged to create Clifford Chance as a tax lawyer.
Tony managed the global professional development team at Clifford Chance and was the Director of the Clifford Chance Academy until he retired from the firm in 2014. He was instrumental in introducing the global programme of legal-technical and business skills programmes for all lawyers from associates to partners and leadership.
As a consultant, he advises on learning and development structures and approaches (including the Human Resources processes which underpin them) for lawyers at all levels as well as leading programmes on management development topics. He has worked extensively across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
He has written articles and contributed to books on a range of legal and professional development topics as well as having co-written two legal textbooks and edited a series of books on business skills for lawyers.
